Indian Mutual Funds have been consistent net sellers of stocks in recent past, but that trend seems to be turning around. Finally, Mutual Funds bought equities in June 2014.

It's amazing that in last twelve months Mutual Funds have been net buyers only in two months August 2013 and now June 2014. The figure of 105 crores in May 2014 counts for nothing. Let us hope that turnaround is for real and Mutual funds will now see consistent inflows.

In CY2014, YTD Mutual funds have net sold Rs. 7457 crores worth of stock. So, if we close flat this year, it will be miracle. Indian retail investors are not going to come back to Indian equities soon.
